Can I freeze my membership, when I am not able to use it?

Freezing a membership allows members to pause their subscription for up to six months at a cost of £5 per month, though this fee is waived if medical evidence is provided. The freeze period doesn't count toward the minimum 12-month contract, and members must provide at least five working days' notice for the freeze to take effect. Requests should be submitted through the Leisure Centre’s website or by calling the customer service team Monday - Friday 08.00-18.00 on 01905 969619.

Members must retain confirmation of the freeze approval, which is sent via email once processed. During this period, payments are paused, but access to facilities is restricted until the freeze is lifted. Freezing is not available for Swimming Lesson memberships, and it’s important to follow all procedures to avoid disruptions or fees.

 

Swimming Lessons

In exceptional circumstances, e.g. injury or medical, you may be allowed to freeze your membership for an agreed period [up to a maximum of 12 weeks] for a fee of £5 per month. You may contact customer service via the ‘Contact us’ page of your local Leisure Centre website and select 'Freeze my Swimming Lessons’ stating the reason for the freeze and including supporting medical evidence.

Once processed you will receive confirmation of whether the freeze period has been accepted or not - this must be retained as proof. The frozen period does not count towards your minimum membership term. We reserve the right to decline your application.
