Updated 16th December 2024

Exciting improvements coming to your centre!

We are excited to be investing over £80,000 in some brand new cardio equipment including:

  • Treadmills and Cross Trainers from Life Fitness with a range of different consoles including 16 inch “SE4” touch screens with full connectivity and a wide range of immersive on-demand workouts
  • Replacement rowing ergometers from industry leaders, Concept 2
  • State-of-the-art Life Fitness Arc Trainers. The Arc Trainer is a versatile alternative motion cross-trainer. Moving arms with multigrip handles provide a total-body workout that exerts less stress on the knees than walking but with 21 levels of incline the user can choose the type of workout they prefer and the different muscle groups that they want to work.

What are the proposed dates of refurb:

The main gym area will be open as normal but with some disruption and potentially limited cardio equipment available for use on the following dates:

  • 23rd January - Existing cardio equipment to be removed
  • 24th January - Main gym remains open whilst new equipment is installed
  • 25th January - Newly refurbished gym fully open

What facilities will be affected?

The gym will be available during the refurbishment works, however there will be some distribution with the existing equipment coming out and the new equipment being installed.

All other areas of the centre will also be unaffected, including group exercise classes and activities in the swimming pool.

What will happen with memberships during this time?

Fitness Memberships will be unaffected. Should members wish to avoid the potential disruption in the gym, they are welcome to attend group exercise classes which will be  scheduled as normal, or utilise other facilities across the contract including Towcester Leisure Centre.

Can I get inducted on the new equipment?

Yes absolutely! If you would like a physical induction on the new equipment you can contact the centre here to request this or book via the app. Alternatively, new equipment will have QR codes which can be scanned to provide you with a step-by-step video tutorial.

How will I know what’s going on?

We will be sending emails to our members as well as updating our social media channels. We will also have communication on display in the centre updating you with the latest news leading up to and throughout the works.

If you have any further questions please ask our reception team.
